Honey Calendar
The period for Acacia crop starts in May and continue in June, and there are different types of Acacia, depending of the zone: Carpathians mountain, hills or subcarpathians areas and of course acacia forest in plains.
In June, in the areas of plains in the south, bees start picking on sunflower and lime, and in hill and mountain blooming acacia, grassland and raspberries. Lime, coriander and sunflower in the southern area of interest are the main plants that flourish in this period. Nectaro-pollenifer species that bloom in June: fir, honeysuckle (lonicera caprifolium), chestnut, coriander, phacelia, sunflower, lucerne (alfalfa), poppy, charlock (mustard or sinapim arvensis), pine, colza (turnip or brassica rapa), acacia, lime, red clover (trefoil or trifolium pratense), raspberry.
Nectaro-pollenifer species in July and August are: coriander, phacelia, mentha, sun-flower, lavender (lavandula vera), evodia, mustard (sinapim arvensis), colza (brassica rapa), alfalfa (medicago sativa), poppy, lime, raspberry, melilot (melilotus officinalis), white clover (trifolium repens), red clover (trifolium pratense), purple loosestrife (lythrum salicaria).
There are also in September species for bee interest, those above and others, as basil (or heal-all, Stachys annua), some of them in the Danube Delta, being in different phenophases of blossom (begginning, maximum or ending).
For august and september the species are also: dandelion (taraxacum officinalis), melon (cucumis mello), wild colza (brassica rapa), trifolium pratense, pumpkin (cucurbita pepo), dahlia, phacelia tanacetifolia, alfalfa (medicago sativa) etc.
So that: sun-flower we have in june-until august, colza from june to august-september, lime harvest june and july, polyflora all the summer long, with different flower components and smell and flavours.
We can also provide you at some periods with some quantities of other sorts of honey: mint honey (mentha), mustard (charlock), clover (trifolium), bramble, raspberry, chestnut honey, also combination such as chestnut honey wrapped up in sun-flower honey, forest honey, honeydew. But we can deliver honey almost all year long, even in winter.
